Mombo Camp Okavango Delta

Travel and Leisure magazine includes Mombo Camp as one of the “It” hotels for 2019. Botswana is hometown to a third of the world’s elephants and many graze on the doorstep of the camp, joining zebras and Cape buffalos. Mombo is a tastefully rebuilt lodge in the heart of the Delta and is the flagship of the Wilderness Safari portfolio. Nine villas guarantee an intimate escape from the masses.

The resort runs on solar and the camp’s efforts at sustainability are backed by a team of conservation scientists. There’s a whole new baseline to the notion of ‘roughing’ it here.

The elephant image is by Trey Ratcliff thanks ,Trey. It is cleverly ‘post -produced’ photo-art, but we think the result is really effective in capturing the romance and majesty of the moment.
